Description
The problem:
When there is a damaged area under the tile covering or a core hole needs to be drilled, it has been the norm to destroy the affected tile and replace it after the remediation work has been performed.
A particular problem with rare tiles or with older decors that are no longer available or can only be obtained at great financial expense.
The solution:
With our tile remover ProFix, you can pick up most tiles non-destructively and replace them after the renovation has been carried out.
Depending on the design, the system chamber can be adapted to all common tile formats up to 30 or 50 cm in size - square or rectangular.
The ProFix tile remover has carrying handles made of non-heat conducting material - so the heated system chamber can be removed from the treated tile without protective gloves.
The hot air blower can be adjusted continuously from 25-600° C (2300 W).
How to remove the tile from the substrate in just a few steps:.
1. the tile is exposed with a grout cutter. We recommend our cement and silicone grout cutter item no. 41810 or our wet cutting set complete item no. 40690.After removing the grout, fill it with water.
2. the tile remover ProFix is adjusted to the size of the tile to be removed, set up and heated with the hot air blower.
After approx. 8 minutes, the tile detaches from the substrate. 4.
4. now you can easily remove the tile.
5. after the restoration or testing of the substrate, you can put the tile back.
