Personal protection adapter- Your safety first at Karl Dahm
The personal protection adapter for safety when working with water. It also provides effective protection against electrical accidents and disconnects the active side from the mains as soon as residual currents occur.
The adapter is for 3G1,5 cable with a two-pole disconnection. Tested according to: IEC 60884-2-5: 1995 DIN VDE 0620-1: 2005 Protection class: IP54 with test function and function indicator.
The tripping time is max: 30ms.
Commissioning:
- Always plug the personal protection adapter directly into the wall socket.
- Plug extension cables, cable reels, socket strips, etc. into the socket of the personal protection adapter. Plug in the electrical device (in switched-off state).
- Switch on the personal protection plug by pressing the RESET key. A red marking appears in the control window above the RESET key.
- Now press the TEST key to check the function. A clear switching noise must be heard and the red marking in the control window is no longer visible.
- The device must not be used if this switching noise cannot be heard and the red marking is still visible.
- After a trouble-free test, press the RESET key again. The device is now ready for operation.
