What is modern today may be outdated tomorrow. In the past, rectangular tiles in pale green, pale pink or beige-brown with a floral pattern were all the rage. Today, large-format, single-colour tiles are the trend. Fashion is constantly changing. Naturally, new systems have to be developed over time. Until now, laying tiles has been relatively time-consuming. The DryTiling processing aid changes all that. Not only can tiles be laid more quickly, they can also be laid dry and completely without adhesive.
DryTiling installation - fast, clean, customised, flexible and safe! Large-format tiles have never been so easy to lay!
The DryTiling processing aid makes it possible to lay tiles dry and without dust formation. The tiles are laid on the level substrate (the only requirement), a sponge rubber cord is inserted and then grouted. The open joints can be grouted as normal with grout.
The tiles can be removed just as quickly. Cut open the joints and simply lift the tiles with a suction lifter. Then clean the grout residue and the tiles can be used again.
The system means that nothing needs to be glued to the substrate. This means that there are no more costs for tile adhesive, the working time for bonding is also very short and you no longer have to wait until the adhesive or similar has dried. The substrate is not damaged or soiled in the process. DryTiling is suitable for all tile formats and types.
The quick installation system!
Tiles can now be laid without tile adhesive and levelling compound. However, the substrate must be completely level and smooth. This can save a lot of labour time and mess.
And this is how it works:
Done!
Dry laying is made possible by a coating of CPC (Cork Polymer Composite). Cork particles are processed into granules with a polymer binder and sintered onto the back of the tiles under the influence of heat. The coating adheres permanently to the back of the tile. If the tile is then laid on a prepared and level substrate, the coating adheres to the floor. This means that the tile can no longer slip. However, it can be removed again at any time by lifting it. In combination with a sponge rubber cord, the cork coating also has a sound and heat insulating effect.
The cork layer applied to the back only insulates against sound, but not against heat. There is only a delay in the transfer of heat. It only takes a few seconds longer for the heat from the underfloor heating to reach the top of the floor covering. There is no energy loss! You can therefore also use DryTiling with underfloor heating.
