The Karl Dahm diamond saw wire Art. 40994 is a flexible cutting wire with a length of 1 m and a wire thickness of 0.5 mm. It is designed for cuts that straight cutting discs cannot achieve: tight radii, curves and internal cut-outs in tiles and hard porcelain stoneware. It is perfectly suited to cutting out the rounded contours of tileable flush plates.
The thin diamond saw wire lets you make curved cuts and cut-outs – for example round openings, recesses and reworking tight corners. A typical use is cutting out the rounded contour of tileable flush plates (actuator plates with a tile inlay): the curved contour can be cut cleanly with the wire, where straight cutting discs cannot sensibly be applied. The low wire thickness of 0.5 mm produces a narrow kerf for precise, material-friendly work.
Diamond cutting wires are generally used with water cooling to reduce heat and dust and to extend service life.
For hand-guided work, the wire is clamped into the handles of the diamond wire saw (Art. 13204). The handles are available separately.
Typical applications are round openings, internal recesses and reworking tight corners in tiles and porcelain stoneware.
The low wire thickness produces a narrow kerf for precise, material-friendly work.
It cleanly cuts the round or contoured recess in the tile, where straight cutting discs cannot sensibly be applied.
The wire is clamped into the handles, which are available separately.
