Maxi-Sets Karl Dahm Levelling System

With our Maxi-Sets you can create larger areas in less time. No excess teeth, perfect joints. It's that simple with the Karl Dahm levelling system.

Why should I buy the Maxi-Set levelling system?

If you have ever had problems with excess teeth or overhangs, you know: the additional work this problem entails is annoying, time-consuming, expensive and above all - avoidable. However, the ever-increasing tile formats require perfect installation, because super teeth are an absolute no go! The Karl Dahm Maxi sets of the levelling system provide a remedy The Maxi sets are ideally suited for larger areas to be laid. With a total of 150 swivel caps and 1500 basic threaded brackets in the practical transport bucket, you are equipped for any construction site.

How is Karl Dahm's levelling system used?

The application of the Maxi-Sets is neither different from the basic sets nor from the XXL-Sets of the levelling system. Only the content is different. Before laying (especially with large formats), make sure that the subfloor is completely level. Hollow layers of several millimetres cannot be levelled out by the levelling system.

Maxi-Sets Application - Step 1: Apply the first layer of adhesive to the substrate. For large formats, you should also apply a thin layer of adhesive to the underside of the tile before inserting it (buttering-floating process). Now place the first tile in the adhesive bed and place two to three basic threaded lugs (depending on the side length of the tile) with one half under the first tile. Now place the next tile on this side of the tile so that the base thread washers are fixed between the two tiles. The base plate of the threaded lugs should no longer be visible.

Maxi-Sets Application - Step 2: After the first row of tiles has been laid in this way, the rotating caps can be unscrewed. Turn them onto the threads of the basic threaded lugs, but do not apply too much tension to be able to readjust them later (tip: use our washers for sensitive tile surfaces to avoid abrasion of the rotating caps on the material). Proceed as follows over the entire first row of tiles. Afterwards, individual swivel caps can be tightened again, if necessary. Now the next row can be laid, proceed as for the first row.

Maxi-Sets Application Step 3: After the entire surface has been laid with the levelling system, allow the adhesive to cure completely. The rotating caps (which can be used several times) can then be unscrewed and stored in the Maxi-Set transport bucket. The protruding threads of the basic threaded brackets can be broken off either with an abrasion-resistant rubber hammer or with the toe of the foot. It is important that this always happens in the direction of the joint. The base plates of the basic threaded lugs are simply grouted as well and are therefore invisible.

Maxi-Sets Application Step 4: Now you can grout as usual!
