The Collomix XQ2 is a single-speed mixer for daily use on job sites. It covers mixing volumes up to 50 liters and accommodates paddles up to 140 mm in diameter – the typical range for tile adhesive, mortar, fillers, and self-leveling compounds. Operating at 1,200 watts with a load speed of 670 revolutions per minute, this single-speed device maintains its RPM even in viscous materials without bogging down.
The decisive difference compared to a simple mixer is the integrated timer. Material manufacturers specify mixing times for good reason: if mixed too briefly, binder pockets remain; if mixed too long, air is stirred into certain materials or the processing time is shortened. The display on the XQ2 makes the mixing time visible and thus repeatable throughout the workday – even when multiple people are working on the same bucket.
The HEXAFIX PRO quick-change coupling holds the paddle with a positive fit and can be operated without tools. Anyone switching between different materials during the workflow – first adhesive, then grout, then self-leveling compound – saves noticeable time per swap compared to a traditional threaded connection. The adapted paddle opening keeps dust and material residues out of the coupling, benefiting smooth operation throughout its service life.
Existing devices with a 5/8" male thread can be retrofitted to the same system using the HEXAFIX PRO retrofit kit (Collomix Art. No. 49451-000). This is worthwhile if several machines are used in operations and the paddles need to remain interchangeable.
Optimized airflow and additional insulation reduce noise levels by up to 50 percent compared to previous models. On the job site, this is especially important during longer mixing phases and in occupied properties. The handle arrangement is designed for an upright working posture so that the back is not subjected to constant bending during setup and operation. Rubber bumpers on all four corners protect the housing when set down on rough floors.
The XQ2 is deliberately positioned in the lower performance range of the series. It is the right choice when predominantly bucket volumes up to 50 liters are mixed and low tool weight is more important than variable speed. Anyone who needs fine control between multiple speed settings – such as with epoxy resins or sensitive decorative fillers – is better served with the XQ4 (three speeds, up to 65 liters) or the XQ6 (eight speeds, up to 90 liters). Below the XQ2 is the XQ1, designed for paddles up to 120 mm and mixing volumes up to 40 liters.

For very viscous materials or batches starting from around 65 liters, a more powerful model in the series is the better choice.
The selection depends on the material: LX and DLX for liquid and fluid materials, KR for sticky, soft-plastic compounds.
The results remain more consistent from batch to batch because guessing is eliminated.
The XQ2 operates at a single speed with a load speed of 670 RPM. If you require multiple speed settings, choose the XQ4 or XQ6.
A retrofit kit is available for devices with a 5/8" male thread, allowing paddles to be used uniformly across operations.
