Heavy soiling, old care films, grease deposits, or construction dirt often cannot be completely removed with normal maintenance cleaners. Great caution is required, particularly with marble, limestone, travertine, or concrete ashlar, as acidic cleaners can permanently damage the surface. HMK R155 Intensive Cleaner is an acid-free, mild alkaline special cleaning concentrate for natural and artificial stone indoors and outdoors.
It removes construction dirt, old care product residues, grease and oil films, light limescale deposits, and self-shining layers in no time. This makes HMK R155 perfectly suited for periodic deep cleaning of heavily used surfaces as well as for optimal preparation before subsequent impregnation, sealing, or other protective treatments.
Before full-surface application, you should always create a sample test area to accurately check material compatibility, cleaning effect, and consumption. Any existing underfloor heating must be switched off in good time. The covering must be naturally cold and dry; highly absorbent surfaces should be pre-wetted with clear water before cleaning.
Apply the diluted HMK R155, agitate with a brush, scrubbing brush, or a matching nylon pad from the Karl Dahm range, and let it take effect for approx. 10 minutes. Afterwards, mechanically agitate again, absorb the dissolved dirty solution, and rinse the surface thoroughly with clear water. Reliably protect surfaces not to be treated (such as glass, walls, furniture, plastics, or painted surfaces). Before a subsequent protective treatment, wait at least 1 to 2 days until the surface is sufficiently dry (residual moisture 2 to 4%). Always wear protective gloves and eye protection during application and ensure good ventilation in interior rooms.
Acidic cleaners can cause matte spots, chemical burns, or permanent surface damage. HMK R155 is acid-free and therefore the material-safe and secure choice for calcareous natural and artificial stones.
Surface textures such as polished, honed, flamed, brushed, or rough-cleft can also be cleaned with it without any problems. A sample area should always be prepared before full-surface application.
It is ideally suited for periodic deep core cleaning and renovation work. For heavy cementitious residues, a special cement film remover may be required depending on the covering.
Outdoors, it can be used on terraces, stairs, entrance areas, or natural stone pavements. Do not process in direct sunlight and do not allow the cleaner to dry.
For extremely stubborn dirt, the concentrate can also be used pure. The appropriate dosage should be checked beforehand on a sample area.
Subsequently, the surface is washed thoroughly with clear water. This completely removes all cleaner residues and prepares the surface perfectly for further treatments.
Old care films and dirt are reliably removed so that the subsequent protective treatment can be absorbed more evenly and deeply. After cleaning, the surface should dry for at least 1 to 2 days.
The concentrated cleaner can cause skin and eye irritation. In closed rooms, adequate ventilation must also be ensured.
