Ideal for visual correction of minor defects on frequently used surfaces.
For larger chips or deeper damage, a repair set should be used, as material needs to be rebuilt.
Not suitable for glazed tile surfaces or structural damage.
The tile touch-up pen is used to repair visual defects such as fine scratches, small scuffs or light chips. However, if material is missing, the damaged area is deep, or structural damage is present, a surface treatment alone is not enough. In such cases, a repair set is more suitable, as it fills, stabilizes and can then be coated.
Immediately after application, the color often appears lighter than expected. During drying, the shade changes slightly and becomes darker. The final color result is only visible after complete drying, usually after about three hours. Only then should the color be evaluated.
Cracks are not just surface defects but material damage. A paint layer cannot permanently seal or stabilize them. The pen is only suitable for covering visible cosmetic surface defects. Cracks require special repair methods that strengthen or fill the material.
The different shades can be combined to create intermediate tones and better match the repair area to the existing surface. It is recommended to test the mixture first on an inconspicuous area. Keep in mind that the paint darkens slightly during drying.
The paint withstands normal temperatures as found in bathrooms or on household appliances. However, it is not designed for permanently high heat or direct cooking areas. The repaired surface is also not food-safe. Areas with food contact or high temperatures should not be treated.
