On particularly smooth or non-absorbent materials, pre-treatment with a suitable primer is recommended to improve adhesion. The silicone should be applied using an appropriate cartridge gun. Afterwards, the fresh joint can be shaped with a suitable smoothing agent to achieve a clean and even surface. At cooler temperatures (below +10 °C), it is advisable to bring the cartridge to room temperature before use to improve flowability.
