The OTTOSEAL® S 100 Sanitary Silicone in Grey Glossy (C02), Item No. 13120, is a highly flexible sealant, ideal for use in wet rooms and for the reliable sealing of sanitary installations. It features excellent mould resistance and a durable, visually appealing joint surface.
The single-component OTTOSEAL® S 100 Acetate Silicone is particularly suitable for flexible joint sealing in bathrooms, showers, and around sanitary fittings. Its pasty texture allows easy application and smooth, long-lasting seals.
The silicone offers effective protection against mould and bacteria, is UV-resistant, and withstands temperature fluctuations as well as weathering. With an elongation capacity of up to 50%, the joint remains permanently elastic.
Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of grease before application. On smooth surfaces, a primer may be used for improved adhesion. After application, finishing with a smoothing agent or suitable tool is recommended for a perfect joint appearance.
The silicone is available in several colours, including Grey Glossy (C02), which is especially suitable for tiles with a modern sanitary look.
What distinguishes the colour "Grey Glossy (C02)" from other grey tones?
Grey Glossy (C02) is a neutral, elegant shade ideal for sanitary applications, creating a modern, simple joint appearance.
Is the silicone suitable for wet areas?
Yes, the product is specifically developed for wet rooms and provides long-lasting protection against mould formation due to its fungicidal ingredients.
Can I use the silicone on natural stone?
For sensitive natural stones such as marble or slate, the use of this product is not recommended to avoid edge zone damage.
How should I store and apply the product in cool temperatures?
Application is possible from +5 °C. For optimal results, the cartridge should be warmed to room temperature before use.
When is the joint load-bearing?
Skin formation takes about 10 minutes, full curing takes around 24 hours (2–3 mm depth). Only then is the joint mechanically and water-resistant.
How do I ensure a permanently mould-resistant joint?
Thanks to the fungicidal effect, protection is long-lasting. Regular cleaning and good ventilation help to prevent mould formation.
