Additionally, it is an excellent solution for sealing window joints and glass blocks, as well as joints in acrylic baths, sanitary ceramics, and bathtubs.
How to Apply OTTOSEAL® S 100 Correctly
Surface Preparation: Ensure that the surface is dry, dust-free, and load-bearing. For the best adhesion, clean the surface with a cleaning agent beforehand.
Joint Forming: Smooth the silicone with a tool to achieve an even surface. For matte shades like caramel matt, only smooth the joint once to achieve the desired effect.
Compatibility: Avoid using the silicone on bitumen-containing or plasticiser-releasing materials. If unsure, conduct a compatibility test beforehand.
Mould Prevention: Completely remove old sealants and treat any mould-affected joints with a mould remover before applying the silicone.

For natural stone, we recommend a specially formulated natural stone silicone that does not cause discolouration and is ideal for sensitive surfaces.
How quickly does OTTOSEAL® S 100 Caramel Matt cure?
OTTOSEAL® S 100 Caramel Matt forms a skin after approximately 10 minutes. Complete curing occurs at 23°C and 50% relative humidity, with a curing rate of around 2-3 mm per day. This means that the joint will be fully cured within 2 to 3 days, depending on the thickness of the applied silicone layer. Please note that curing times may be longer at lower humidity or lower temperatures.
