The OTTOSEAL® S 100 Sanitary Silicone Manhattan Matt (Item No. 13103) is a high-quality, one-component sealant specifically designed for professional sealing applications in wet and sanitary areas. The Manhattan Matt colour variant, in particular, offers a subtle and elegant look that integrates seamlessly into modern building and tiling concepts. This premium silicone is the ideal choice for tilers, craftsmen, and stone processors who value quality, precision, and durability.
The silicone offers excellent dimensional stability and stand stability, ensuring it remains stable even in vertical joints, allowing precise application without running. Thanks to its superb workability, the silicone can be easily and quickly processed, ensuring efficient work. Additionally, it is fungicidal and bacteriostatic, making it a reliable solution in the fight against mould and bacteria, thus improving hygiene and reducing maintenance effort. It is also resistant to UV radiation, weathering, and ageing, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It remains stable even under extreme weather conditions. With its matte surface, the silicone ensures a discreet and harmonious joint appearance, perfectly fitting into modern tiling concepts.
The silicone is particularly well-suited for baths and showers, sealing joints in areas such as walls and floors where moisture and water play a central role. In kitchens and washbasins, it provides secure sealing of joints around sinks, worktops, and washbasins. It is also excellent for sealing between different materials such as glass, ceramics, tiles, and acrylic baths. When installing window joints and glass blocks, the silicone provides a seamless and durable solution.
Before use, ensure that the joint surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants. A thorough cleaning with a suitable cleaner is recommended. To maintain the matte finish of the silicone, it should be smoothed only once. Avoid using smoothing agents that could cause a glossy effect. Also, pay attention to material compatibility, especially with soft or bitumen-based substrates. When removing old sealants, we recommend treating the joints with a suitable anti-mould spray to ensure long-lasting protection.
