OTTOSEAL® S 100 Sanitary Silicone Bahama Beige Matt (C8685) is a high-quality, one-component sanitary silicone based on acetate, specifically designed for professional use in wet and sanitary areas. It is ideal for use by tile setters, stone workers, and craftsmen in both indoor and outdoor areas. The excellent workability and lasting elasticity ensure a perfect joint appearance that integrates harmoniously into modern bathroom and kitchen designs. With its subtle beige colour, this matt-coloured silicone fits perfectly into modern building concepts and provides a natural and aesthetic look.
The OTTOSEAL® S 100 offers maximum dimensional stability. Its excellent standing strength ensures clean applications, even on vertical joints, without the risk of run-off. It is also easy to process, allowing for quick and precise smoothing and modelling, making it ideal for efficient use. The sealant is fungicidal and bacteriostatic, providing long-lasting hygiene while reducing maintenance intervals. Additionally, it is resistant to weather, UV light, and ageing, making it perfect for use in outdoor areas. The sealant offers excellent adhesion to ceramic surfaces, making it ideal for sealing tiles, ceramics, and acrylic. Its matte finish allows for discreet and harmonious integration into modern bathroom and kitchen designs.
The OTTOSEAL® S 100 is particularly suited for expansion and connection joints in bathrooms, showers, and WCs, as well as for sealing around sinks, worktops, and washbasins in kitchens. It is also highly effective for sealing joints between glass, ceramic, tiles, and acrylic baths. Additionally, it is ideal for joints in glass blocks, profile glass, or window connections. With its matte finish, it seamlessly blends into modern building concepts, providing a subtle and durable sealing solution.
Before application, ensure that all surfaces are clean, dry, and load-bearing. To achieve the desired matte effect, ensure that joints in colours such as Bahama Beige are only smoothed once with a smoothing tool. Avoid using the product on bitumen-based or plasticizer-releasing materials, and always check for compatibility beforehand. To prevent mould formation, it is recommended to completely remove old sealants and, if necessary, treat the joints with an anti-mould spray before resealing.

Is OTTOSEAL® S 100 suitable for natural stone?
No. Due to the acetate-crosslinking reaction, it may cause edge discolouration. For natural stone, we recommend a specifically tailored natural stone silicone.
Can OTTOSEAL® S 100 be used outdoors?
Yes. It is highly suitable for outdoor use, as it is UV-resistant and weather- and ageing-resistant.
How long does curing take?
After about 10 minutes, a skin will form, and full curing will occur at a rate of around 2–3 mm per day (depending on temperature and humidity).
How can I achieve a smooth surface when smoothing?
Use a smoothing tool. For matte colours like Bahama Beige, the joint should be smoothed only once to achieve the desired matte effect.
Is OTTOSEAL® S 100 suitable for plastic profiles?
Yes, hard PVC (e.g. Vinnolit) is compatible with OTTOSEAL® S 100. For other plastics, a compatibility test should be carried out.
What should I do if the joints are affected by mould?
Old sealants must be completely removed. Then, treat the joint with an anti-mould spray and allow it to dry before re-sealing.
Are matching colours available for tiles?
Yes, OTTOSEAL® S 100 is available in 10 colours, including Bahama Beige, which integrates perfectly into modern tile surfaces.
How long is the product shelf life?
OTTOSEAL® S 100 is shelf-stable for up to 24 months with proper storage. Matte colours should be used within 15 months.
Is the silicone safe for health?
Yes, it is very low-emission (EMICODE® EC1 Plus) and meets the VOC Class A+ standard. Once cured, it is odourless and safe for use in indoor environments.
